Sydney Keiser – a living Academy Award Action Figure
These pictures are about 5 years old now and Sydney is about 10 yrs old now. (I’ve been putting off this blog for a looong time) Back in 2014 when she was just 4 years old Sydney shot to Instagram stardom recreating award show and runway fashions. Like me she obsessed over the TV coverage and day-after press and looked around her house to see what she could find to whip up the dresses. The difference was that she didn’t need dolls for her tiny homemade dresses , she modeled them herself. So great was her fame she got a contract designing clothes for J Crew.
I don’t know how that all panned out. Designing “real” clothes for “real” people is not the subject of this blog. But, old news or no – her genius deserves another look.
